OCU men knock off St. Gregory's 6-0

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's men's soccer team shut out St. Gregory's 6-0 on Saturday night at Stars Field.

Stuart Hilton, a sophomore from Liverpool, England, had the first two goals for the Stars. Hilton scored the first goal off of a penalty kick, while he was assisted by Scott Jackson, a senior from Edmond, Okla., on the second goal.

Jackson also scored the third goal in the 49th minute and was assisted by Luke Garvey, a junior from Liverpool, England.

Stephen Sheffield, a senior from Jacksonville, Texas, assisted on the fourth and fifth goals in the game. The first one to Alex Gang, a sophomore from Seoul, South Korea, in the 65th minute and the second one to Masataka Ido, a senior from Tokyo in the 84th minute. Damon Ellis scored the last goal for the Stars in the 87th minute.

The Stars defense held St. Gregory's to only three shots in the match. Goalkeeper Andy Fitzpatrick, a sophomore from Kansas City, Mo. had two saves on the match.

OCU, ranked seventh in the NAIA, improved to a record of 10-1, 2-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Stars face Rogers State on Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. in Claremore, Okla.
